Privacy information

Embergrain’s public reading, lessons, plans, progress, notes, saved passages, cross- references, and existing Scripture Q&A can be used according to their available flows. When you create an account, Embergrain stores account-scoped progress and private reading activity so you can return to it.

Passage notes, saved passages, custom plans, plan progress, journal tags, and journal exports are scoped to the signed-in account. They are not shown to another account through Embergrain’s member surfaces. These private study tools are available to registered users for free.

For pilot reporting, a browser locally classifies a public tab’s entry into a coarse source category and sends only that category with a generic visit or study-start event to Embergrain’s first-party endpoint. The report stores daily totals by category. The browser uses a tab-scoped source/session marker and a local first-visit marker for approximate returning counts when storage is available. The report does not receive a page URL, referrer, query value, passage, lesson or plan identifier, or reading text. These counts can miss visits when JavaScript or browser storage is unavailable and do not measure people, completion, or reading depth.

Existing subscriptions remain managed through the configured billing provider’s hosted portal. Embergrain does not use a membership to restrict Scripture access. This page describes current product behavior and makes no broader legal or compliance claim.
